Well who WOULDN'T be pleased to be on a Bowie CD? In New York I re-encountered Reeves Gabrels and found that our lives were in a curious synchrony. We did some ambient and acoustic shows around town and I got to hang out at Chung King and Looking Glass while they were making Hours. And as the saying goes about hanging out long enough in a barber shop and eventually getting a haircut, I ended up playing (rather poorly if I remember) on "If I'm Dreaming My Life". David also hired me to play on the tour which was to start in New Zealand on Jan 1, 2000 but then fell through. Reeves' departure caused swirls and eddies in that world which sank my little place in it. Still, it was fun to sit around and watch CSPAN with DB for a summer...
