Stone By StoneIn 1899...er...1989 I moved from Leeds to Silverlake (LA). Lived a block from Henry (he on Maltman and me on Golden Gate), got a job at the Magenta-era Millie's and, for the only time in my life, bought a car. Aileen Getty had a studio a few doors down and Jack Micheline seeemed to be a fixture. Anyway, met Chris D through Henry and got happily roped into his post-Divine Horsemen project STONE BY STONE. It was a cool little band and we played around places like the Gaslight and Coconut Teazer. Other than we two Chris's there was Dean Steele on bass, John Napier (later to form Ethyl Meatplow) on other guitar and my old friend Danny Frankel (whom I knew from his Urban Verbs days in DC) on drums. The title track actually came from the Invisible Ray stuff I'd done in Leeds. previous
