| next MXR Phase 100- awesome though a little toppy for my taste. Electro Harmonix Small Stone- ah yes, that wonderful "Fingerprint File", chewy 70's sound. I don't use phasers a lot but when I do, this is the one. Roland Funny Cat - Picked this up in a little shop in Northern California (along with the Bee Baa in the other photo) and haven't used it much. Difficult to see but it has the Flipper logo carved into it so I think they both might have belonged to Ted Falconi at one point. Mu-tron III- Bootsy in a box. There is nothing like this unit as far as envelope followers go. Fender Phaser- I think this is another 70's unit. Sounds very similar to the Small Stone (and perhaps a little bit better even) but takes up too much space. Also the rotate-it-with-your-foot idea makes me nearly fall over... MXR Blue Box - My favorite. Rowland Howard of the Birthday Party turned me on to these. Fantastic if you use it wrong (which is almost impossible NOT to do). What's great is how out of control it gets if you feed it high end frequencies (especially harmonics). Electro
Harmonix Zipper- If the Mutron is Bootsy in a box, this is
Brothers
Johnson in a box.
